*About Jessica Albarn*
Jessica Albarn studied sculpture, painting, drawing, and printmaking at Middlesex University in London. Her work is inspired by childhood experiences and the beauty of nature. Notably, her interactive toy, Brainbow, was a finalist at the BFIY awards. Jessica has exhibited extensively, from London to a 17th-century lookout tower in Essex, showcasing her versatility and creative reach.
In connection with Marmalade magazine, she exhibited in Stockholm in 2008, which was followed by her limited edition book, Bee-headed, published by Cederteg Publishing in Sweden. Recently, she has collaborated with Modus Design Co., Helmut Lang in Tokyo, and Oasis for their Designer Collective collection. Her fascination with the natural world, particularly insects and spiders, informs much of her art. Jessica’s love for faerie tales, especially The Butterfly Ball, has inspired her to create enchanting stories, including her first storybook, The Boy in the Oak.
Jessica Albarn is also the sister of Damon Albarn OBE, the celebrated English musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer known as the frontman of the rock band Blur and the co-creator of the virtual band Gorillaz.
